
Jimmy Nickerson focuses his writing on American politics. In 2012, Jimmy earned his bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from the University of Richmond. Immediately following his graduation, he performed field organizing work for President Obama’s reelection campaign. Since then, he has worn many hats. These include: working as a human resources assistant in the automotive industry, teaching English as a Second Language to adult learners, serving as a campaign policy advisor on a Virginia House of Delegates campaign, and lobbying on behalf of small businesses in the Virginia General Assembly. Presently, he is working towards an interdisciplinary Master’s degree in American politics and history at Western New Mexico and writing for the online publication the Sojourn Review. At the Sojourn Review, he serves as Senior Editor and co-host of the Overton Window podcast.
